McMatthy Nigeria Ltd today handed over the Mother and Child Care Center to the Government of Bayelsa State. This handover was done on behalf of Chevron Nigeria Ltd and the Agbami Partners to the government of Bayelsa State. Present at the handover is His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and other top government functionaries.

Speaking at the event, the Governor thanked Chevron Nigeria Ltd and it's partners for donating this edifice to the Bayelsa state especially at time as this. The facility houses amongst other wards, fully equipped; a theatre, Ultrasound ward, Delivery Ward, Nursery Ward, Prenatal Ward, Postnatal Ward, General Ward, Laboratory, Recovery Ward, Intensive Care Unit, Conference Room, Consulting Rooms etc.

The facility is powered with a 150 KVA Perkins generating set and also has a 110KW Solar Power system. It is dedicated to Mother and Child Care. Built by McMatthy Nigeria Ltd. Thank you Chevron for the privilege to showcase our capabilities.
